Interesting story, I'm in San Anglo Tx, reasonably the middle of nowhere, there is a tiny comicbook shop on base, while looking over the selection I noticed they had some ducktaped up D&D 2nd edition books. This makes me wonder just what kind of crazyness they have tucked back in the dusty corners of the store, sure enough, I find the Stardrive Arms and Equipment guide, almost brand new looking.

I take the book to the counter and ask the owner if he knows what it is. Nope, no idea. I ask him if he knows about the d20 system and basically run over the history of Alternitys downfall and its nasty return as D20  the shopkeeper is suprised at the story and kinda the overall situation. He lets me have it for a cool 10 dollars. I drop him my cellphone number and told him to let me know if he comes across any more of the books.

It made my friday.

Cool story...what were you doing in San Angelo? I was stationed about 90 minutes away in Abilene for almost 8 years. Really nice people but there's not too much out there. ^_^

I'm at Goodfellow AFB for training. True, not much to do, but I'm a hermit anyway, that and their bookstore in town is amazing.
