The rest are either insufferably stupid (Warehouse 13, Eureka) or not to my taste (SG:U, Caprica). I might or might not try V when it returns but it is going to have to grab me quick. The only series I can think of that I really wish got a second season are Threshold and Firefly. |

Stardiver, ******************** Group: Heroes, Starfallen submitted 0 Resources has rated 0 resources, submitted 0 artworks and is involved with 0 projects. One Science fictional show I'm barely fond of is Life After People. Definitely a fan of postapoc scenarios. There's just something about people suddenly disappearing for no reason and watching skyline's crumble that I find cool. Cool enough for me to try a card game of it
I agree with Derek, Firefly required more seasons. Attached Image

Life After People is good, but I really don't need a complete recap after every frikking commercial. |

I watch heroes but from what I hear there is little hope for next season. Lost also ends this year. I try to watch Fringe but it takes me aproximately 2-3 days per episode. It just won't keep my intrest. The only reason I am continuing the ordeal is because I was told that things get better later. And Clone Wars is pure fun, on that I agree. |

EnigmaOfOne32, Group: Heroes, GMin' Old Testament Style submitted 2 Resources has rated 5 resources, submitted 0 artworks and is involved with 0 projects. Future Weapons was a good one. I also like the Discovery Channel special on the year 2050. I don't remember what it was called. Finally, I liked The Future Is Wild, which played on Animal Planet. Also, Alien Planet was cool beyond cool.
GiTS, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun are all examples of sci-fi anime that I like. Other than that, I don't watch a lot of TV, so I can't say. |

Kzinwarrior, Group: Ascended, We miss you ST submitted 10 Resources has rated 30 resources, submitted 6 artworks and is involved with 2 projects. I download shows from the station websites (legally) and store them for later. I don't do commercials by order of Mrs. Kzin, something about claw marks on the screen and constantly shouting, "Liars! Kill 'em all!!".
My personal issues aside, I was really enjoying Fringe, FlashForward, Warehouse 13 and a few more. Maybe that's because I watch a whole season in a couple days. Things happen really fast that way. Historically, allow me to be brief: all sci-fi, fantasy and conspiracy shows since 1980. K. |

Doctor Who - I've loved it ever since I was 5 and it's one of the rare shows I make it a point not to miss. The Doctor has always been a personal hero, leading by example that wit and knowledge get you much farther than brute strength or big guns. I like its spin-off series Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures, but I can wait for the Complete Season boxed sets on those. Fringe - It's like The X-Files back when it was scary and it seemed like they knew what they were doing. Dr. Bishop's an unmittigated hoot, it drops tons of ideas for Dark*Matter GMs, and I'm pleased that my theory abot the Observers and the nature of the inter-timeline cold war were proved more or less correct. Warehouse 13 - It's like a tongue-in-cheek version of a GURPS Warehouse 23 campaign. I'm a sucker for shows about paranormal investigators of any kind, and I like the chemistry between the characters. Saul Rubinek is fun as the whacked-out wise man archetype, and C.C.H. Pounder is good in anything. It also drops tons of ideas for Dark*Matter. Eureka - Like Warehouse 13, it's nice to have a sci-fi show that doesn't take itself too seriously. The oppressive grimness is one of the primary reasons I couldn't get into the new Battlestar Galactica. I'm also intrigued by the idea of a little town where everybody except the sherriff is a Mad Scientist. This is also oddly useful for Dark*Matter, as I think human Mad Science is more interesting as a motivator for plots than the overused-into-boredom diabolist cults. More later. Orc, ******************** Group: Heroes, Level 20 submitted 0 Resources has rated 0 resources, submitted 0 artworks and is involved with 0 projects. Hi all
Orc not watch much TV at all. Firstly public broadcaster in South Africa is a pile of mongoose droppings, privately-owned-free-to-air station is becoming not some much better. Pay TV is expensive and cheap option is well very much you-get-what-you-paid-for. Plus SA broadcasters seem to have gone allergic to SF series. They never got beyond broadcasting StarTrek next Gen series 4, and have never (not even once) rebroadcast the original series. X-files has ended long time ago, and was never very well positioned in the schedule anyway. All very curious considering that the public broadcaster loves to screen cheap-and-nasty-third-rate-SF on a regular basis, particularly rebroadcast. A lot of the recent SF shows that have been broadcast did not grab Orc's imagination. Heroes was serious let down. Lost was just plain crazy. Fringe is so X-files knock off that it should be billed as parody. Does 'The Mentalist' qualify as SF. The protag certainly seems to possess an-above-human perception into the human-and-not-so-human mind. That was interesting for about three episodes, then it became parody and recycled scripts. New Battlestar Galatica has never been shown, original never rebroadcast. No Dr. Who, original or new, ever. Anyways, Orc does watch one half hour a week, 'My Name is Earl', which might qualify as SF if you consider just how freaking bad some people's luck seems to be. Karma is a real BITCH in that universe. One with serious teeth. Sadly it will end soon. Sadly, like the title of a Star Trek episode we will never get to see here 'All good things...' Regards Orc |
